Baptisms
“Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.”
The Book of Common Prayer
From time to time people ask about the requirements for Baptism. Must I be a member of Christ Church? Must I be an Episcopalian? The only requirements to begin planning for a Baptism at Christ Church are a sincere desire to be a Christian and a readiness to begin (or continue) active participation in the life of Christ Church.
In accordance with the tradition of the church, the sacrament of Holy Baptism is administered at Christ Church at the main service on several major days in the church year.
2010 dates are:

- Baptism of Our Lord, January 10, 2010 at the 10 a.m. service
- Easter Vigil, Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 8 p.m. (youth and adults*)
- Pentecost, Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the 10 a.m. service
- Mid-summer, near Independence Day (by special arrangement)
*Because of the late hour, the Easter Vigil service is not ideal for infant baptisms.
